Adaptive Winter Programs
NEHSA offers a variety of adaptive winter sports activities for individuals with a wide variety of diagnoses and disabilities. We offer individual adaptive alpine and adaptive snowboarding lessons for individuals age 3 and up. All lessons include two or three instructors per student and are tailored to the individual participant. Reservations must be made in advance through our adaptive sports portal. Please note that weekends and holiday periods fill up quickly.

Fun in the Snow at Mount Sunapee!
- NEHSA offers half day and full day adaptive ski and snowboard lessons.
- Adaptive snowshoe hikes are available for a half day session.
- Half day adaptive lessons are 2 hours.
- Full day adaptive lessons are 4 hours total with an hour break for lunch (not provided).
- Reservations open November 1st – adaptive athletes are encouraged to register through the portal.
- Full day adaptive ski or snowboard lessons are $100 and half day lessons are $70. This includes a lift ticket, equipment and instructors.
- Adaptive snowshoe hikes are $30 and include equipment and guides.
- Please Note: All lesson requests must be made in advance, there will be no last-minute lessons or walk-ins.
Adaptive Summer Programs
Summertime at NEHSA brings adaptive kayaking and paddle boarding, and adaptive hiking! NEHSA offers lessons to all ages and disabilities, late June through September. Taking part in summer sports provide adaptive athletes with the opportunity to learn new skills, build up their physical strength and have a great time in the outdoors with friends and family members.
Adaptive Lesson Availability
Paddle Sports
Adaptive kayaking and paddle board sessions are available based on the summer program calendar from late June through early October.
Lessons are offered at 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM and includes skill development, equipment, and adaptive instructors.
Adaptive paddle sports sessions are $30 and last 2 hours.
Adaptive Spring and Fall Programs
Hiking
Our adaptive hiking season typically runs in May and October. This is a fully accessible program thanks to adaptive equipment such as TrailRiders, hiking poles, and adaptive instruction to get you out on the trails. We have specially themed hikes like our Halloween Costume trek, a Geocache hunt, and an Advance Summit Hike.
All hikes are $10 and can be paid at hike locations via cash, check or credit card. Hikes will begin at 10:00 AM and will last no more than 2 hours.
