2022 Annual Meeting and Board Elections- June 4th

Dear NEHSA Membership,

The NEHSA Nominating Committee is looking for people with the time, energy, and motivation to complete a variety of initiatives. NEHSA is and needs to continue to be a working Board as opposed to an advisory group. We are looking for team players with a variety of skill sets including but not limited to:

  • Fundraising
  • Marketing
  • Strategic Planning
  • Finance and Accounting
  • Volunteer Service and Education
  • General Non-Profit Program Experience
  • Professional endeavors that lead to further opportunities to enhance NEHSA’s mission

If interested in running, we will ask candidates to submit a nomination package by Saturday, April 23, 2022. Typically, a nomination package includes a resume or summary of relevant experience and a cover letter expressing why you are a qualified candidate. A picture is also helpful to place a name to a face. The packages will be distributed to the membership so they can gain a better sense of who you are. The election will be held at the Annual Meeting, tentatively scheduled for Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 10:30am. Please see here for the template to be used.

Along with identifying candidates to serve Board positions, NEHSA is also looking to increase member input and participation on several important committees. If you are interested, this is a great way to get involved and learn more about the organization’s inner workings. The committees include:

  • Development and Marketing – reaching out to large players in the world of donations and developing new marketing campaigns
  • Volunteer – recruiting new volunteers and retaining existing as we emerge from the pandemic to meet lesson demands
  • Education – focusing on training and PSIA/AASI certification
  • Program – ensuring we are serving our population to the best of our abilities and to research possible areas of expansion
  • Systems – bringing procedures in line with current practice and upgrading technologies to help with scheduling and data management
  • Safety – focusing on training and compliance with COVID-19 guidelines
  • Building – shifting to maintenance
  • Governance – working on written policies, procedures, and compliance

Thank you for your interest and we hope to hear from you soon.

Please contact the office or the NEHSA Board of Directors should you have questions.

Sincerely,

The NEHSA Nominating Committee
