DESCRIPTION:This course will help NEHSA volunteers have the option of teaching beginner skiers how to\nmake parallel turns on the first day. For many skiers\, transitioning from the wedge to the\nparallel turn is a challenge. Direct to Parallel will show you how to introduce the concept\nof the parallel turn in the early stages of a beginner lesson. Volunteers will leave this course\nwith tips for teaching carved turns and will also come away with a “bag of tricks” for\ntransitioning skiers out of wedge turns. DESCRIPTION:This course will help NEHSA volunteers have the option of teaching beginner skiers how to\nmake parallel turns on the first day. For many skiers\, transitioning from the wedge to the\nparallel turn is a challenge. Direct to Parallel will show you how to introduce the concept\nof the parallel turn in the early stages of a beginner lesson. Volunteers will leave this course\nwith tips for teaching carved turns and will also come away with a “bag of tricks” for\ntransitioning skiers out of wedge turns.
