DESCRIPTION:This course will help NEHSA volunteers have the option of teaching beginner skiers how to\nmake parallel turns on the first day. For many skiers\, transitioning from the wedge to the\nparallel turn is a challenge. Direct to Parallel will show you how to introduce the concept\nof the parallel turn in the early stages of a beginner lesson. Volunteers will leave this course\nwith tips for teaching carved turns and will also come away with a “bag of tricks” for\ntransitioning skiers out of wedge turns. DESCRIPTION:The snow slider facilitates the needs of many stand-up skiers but is often viewed as a final device. In this clinic\, you will view the basic physical evaluation of skiers who may use the slider and get hands on experience on how to properly set up this piece of equipment. You will also have the opportunity to practice skiing and tethering the slider while learning the teaching progressions used with his device.
